Introduction
Wikipedians of CEG is a Wikipedia student club affiliated with College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Anna University, Chennai. This is the first student Wikipedia club in India. This club has our dean Dr. M. Sekar as its patron.
Purpose of this club
In recent times, students' use of Wikipedia has increased greatly. Wikipedia, like other open source projects is a two way street. We have started this club to help our students contribute back to Wikipedia. While our students help the world with their knowledge and skills, they in turn get exposure to a world wide collaborative environment. In addition to familiarising students of our college with wiki mark-up and editing practices, our club will also organise Wiki meet-ups.
Inauguration
